This 50 wt. Egyptian-grown,extra-long staple cotton thread leaves virtually no lint in your machine and because of its fine weight creates precise 1/4" seams. Also suitable for applique, lacework, quilting and as a bobbin thread.

When using MasterPiece as the top thread, lower the top tension to the 1.5 to 2.5 range. Tight tension will put too much stress on a fine thread and may cause it to break. If your machine has an automatic tension feature, override it and manually adjust the setting.

Spools: Position MasterPiece on the vertical spool pin so the thread unwinds straight from the side of the spool with the spool rotating. Do not unwind over the end or top of the spool.
 
Cones: Use a thread stand/cone holder so the thread unwinds over the top of the cone.
 
Recommended needle:

Topstitch 80/12 (Domestic machine)

Recommended top tension:

1.5 - 2.0 (Domestic machine)
